The Vulcan Connection was a Deep Space One episode begun in late 2004 and completed in March '05. It was one of the first FE episodes to confront the ramifications of a Pegasus mission of 2001 where it was discovered that the Vulcans living on their homeplanet had lost control of their emotions and reverted to an unpredictable and dangerous mindset. In the episode, the Enterprise-F travels to Vulcan whilst other Starfleet vessels withdraw from the area as rumours of an uprising on the planet begin to take shape. The Enterprise is ordered to make contact with Federation scientist, Professor Anthony Starling but upon arriving in orbit above the planet, find that the Human is being detained on charges of murder. The victim is the former Chief Administrator of Vulcan. |
