The USS Venture Star (NCC-DX01) was an Intimidator class prototype dreadnought launched in 2250 from San Francisco Shipyards, Earth. During the course of her almost 50 years of service and discovery in Starfleet, she became one of only a handful of ships to survive intact until her "retirement" in 2391. Gaining the nickname of "Guiding Star" for her ability to bring her crew home safe every time. She achieved her largest amount of fame under the missions of then-Captain Bryan Cash (2250-2280).

After surviving for almost 150 years Venture Star met her end on the surface of mars during the defense of utopia planetia during the borg invasion of the sol system. Removed from the fleet museum and fitted with hastily attached weapons Venture Star was one of the longest lasting ships during the shipyards defense.

It was replaced both by name and as the flagship to Admiral Bryan Cash by the Venture Star Class's prototype, built at San Francisco shipyards

Also the name for a new prototype ship under construction at San Fransisco shipyards.

For more information regarding it's history, please see Venture Star at the Expedition Fleet Infobase.

Notes

  • The former starship's dedication plaque was retrieved from the wreckage on Mars and welded into pride of place on the bridge of the new Venture Star.
