Bolarus

A Blue Giant star with 11 planets in orbit around it. Bolarus IX is the homeworld of the Bolian people.

The system was one of the first to be consumed by the advancing Borg at the war's onset. The Borg wanted to get a foothold into Federation space from which to launch attacks at the core systems. Starfleet was forced to retreat and the Bolarus system fell with little resistance.

In 2410, the USS Ticonderoga re-explored the system and re-established contact with the surviving Bolian people.
