Betazed

Betazed is a class M planet, located near the Kalandra sector. It is home to the Betazoid race.

Status in 2400

Betazed itself wasn't damaged or invaded by the Borg. Slowly the task force assigned to Betazed assisted the people in improving their defensives. Betazed was already protected by numerous orbital and land defence systems since the end of the Dominion war. Starfleet had improved on the adequated systems not wanting to see another invasion of the planet again. A small shipyard was constructed in orbit of one of Betazed's moons. Construction of Starfleet starships were halted but resumed in 2401. It will be another year until the first three starships will be launched from Betazed.
