USS Intrepid (NCC-74600)

The USS Intrepid NCC-74600 was the prototype for the Intrepid Class. The vessel was launched in 2370. The vessel was commanded by Captain Walter Emick for over twenty years before his death in 2391. The Intrepid is now commanded by Captain Donald Kaplan, an old Academy friend of Captain Geordi La Forge. In 2402 the Intrepid was part of a small three ship task group sent to Deep Space One to assist in the station's defence alongside the USS Equinox and IKS Drovana (DS1: "The Miracle Workers").
