Kathryn Janeway Medal of Distinct Service

The Kathryn Janeway Medal of Distinction Service is an award first created in 2400 and handed out in 2403. It is awarded to Starfleet officers in recognition of remarkable dedication to service of the Federation. This is presented to the officers who have upheld Starfleet ethos and the Federation Charter in their duties.

It is named in honor of former Starfleet Commander in Chief Fleet Admiral Kathryn Janeway.

The first recipent of the award was given to Fleet Captain Zack Marshall-Bennet in 2403 (DS1 & ENT-F: "A Good Day To Arise").
