Donatra

Donatra is a Romulan woman who was a keen patriot of her people and what they had. When the Romulan Star Empire was forced to join the United Federation of Planets because of the Borg War, Donatra became quite an important Romulan.

Career

2379-2403

Donatra's warbird the IRV Valdore assisted the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) in fighting Shinzon's Reman Warbird the Scimitar. The Valdore alongside another warbird was able to distract the Reman vessel long enough for the Enterprise-E to successfully come up with a battle strategy in defeating the powerful ship.

Donatra sent shuttles over to the Federation Flagship after the incident in the Bassen Rift had ended to assist with medical aid. She had told Captain Jean Luc Picard that after he and his crew valiant efforts in removing a "matter of internal security" one the Romulan military regretted the Federation's involvement that he had "earn a friend in the Romulan Empire" & she hoped "the first of many".

In 2387 the Donatra led the remaining Romulan fleet to Earth. She brought with her nearly two hundred and thirty vessels that had survived the Borg invasion of the Romulus system. The Romulan fleet was soon integrated in to Starfleet and Donatra became the first highest ranking Romulan Starfleet officer when she received the field commission of Commodore.

In 2400 Fleet Admiral Picard promoted her to the rank of Rear Admiral and assigned to command the Starfleet Rapid Response Task Force assigned to the First Fleet. Her vessel the IRV Valdore has remained in service and acts as her flagship.
