Borg War

The Borg War was a terrible conflict between the United Federation of Planets and the Borg Collective from mid 2382 to 2398. The war saw billions of people killed however the Federation was victorious in its fight against the cybernetic race. Extra details can be found under Borg.

- 2382 - The Federation learns of a Borg incursion into the Tholian Assembly, with the loss of the Tholian homeworld. The Second Fleet is sent to the Tholianborder to assist in the evacuation of Starfleet and Federation Civilian forces. All Federation Starbases undergo defence-oriented refits. The Fifth Fleet are met Klingon 242nd Battle Squadron at the edge of the Botulus system. The Borg invade the system and contact is soon lost with the combined Federation-Klingon fleet.
- 2385 - Romulan outpost at Sharona 5 and the Klingon Armoured Station Klach D'kel Brakt are destroyed by the Borg. The Klingon Empire becomes a Federation member. A Klingon shipyard is constructed at Utopia Planitia Shipyards. Deep Space 12 is destroyed by the Borg. Cardassia Prime is attacked by the Borg but successfully defended. The Breen Homeworld is destroyed by the Borg and contact is lost with the Breen Confederacy. Bajor is attacked by the Borg but successfully defended.
- 2386 - The Ferengi Alliance is overrun by the Borg. Bajor is attacked by the Borg again but successfully defended with the assistance of 4,000 Dominion vessels. Ferengi space is retaken by the Dominion, the Federation, and the Cardassian Union.
- 2387 - The Borg assimilates the Romulan world Harpor 4. The Third Fleet are ordered to guard the Federation/Romulan border. The Borg destroy Deep Space 4, Deep Space 5, and contact is lost the USS Titan. The Romulans are forced to retreat from Romulus. The Romulan Star Empire joins the Federation. A Dominon/Cardassian/Federation force destroys a Borg Unimatrix, the Transwarp Hub, and 35 Borg Planets in the Delta Quadrant. The Borg assimilates a neurolithic pathogen carried by a strike force of Jem Ha'dar warriors.
- 2388 - The Borg destroys the Founders' Homeworld. The Bajoran Wormhole is sealed. Contact is lost with the Seventh Fleet, Trill, Bajor, Deep Space 9, Cardassia Prime, Qo'nos, and the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701 - E).
- 2389 - Ambassador Spock is elected the Federation President. Khitomer and Qualor 2 are assimilated by the Borg.
- 2391 - Starfleet discovers that the Dominion and Borg forces in the Gamma quadrant have almost completely annihalated each other. The Federation also learns of a Borg Shipyard in Cardassian Space, another at Khitomer, and that the 223 Borg vessels in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants are isolated from those in the Delta Quadrant. The Borg destroy Starbase 375. Starfleet destroys the Borg shipyards at Khitomer.
- 2392 - Starbase 595 destroyed by the Borg. The Third Fleet retreats to Earth.
- 2393 - The Borg destroy Jupiter Station and attack Utopia Plantia, which is successfully defended by the Federation and the Dominion.
- 2394 - The Federation destroys the Borg shipyard in Cardassian space. The Federation learns that the Borg have wiped out the Talarians, Tzenkethi, and Kzinti Patriarchy.
- 2397 - Alpha Centauri is successfully defended by the remnants of the Fourth Fleet. A Borg force attacks the Son'a. The Borg force is destroyed by the Son'a, the Dominion and the Federation.
- 2398 - The Borg invade the Gorn Alliance. The Federation learns that the Borg are still unable to adapt to the Dominion pathogen. The Borg and the Dominion/Federation pit all of their ships against each other in the Sol System. Only a handful of allied ships survive, but the Borg are wiped out.
- 2400 - The Federation declares victory.
