Transphasic Torpedoes

Transphasic Torpedoes are one the most powerful weapons controlled by Starfleet since 2378. Originally the technology for these weapons came from the future and were given to the crew of the USS Voyager as they engaged the Borg. A single torpedo was able to destroy a single Borg Cube. However come 2382 the Borg found away to adapt to the weapon. During the Borg War Starfleet Tactical worked for years to re-design the weapon. It wasn't until the Battle of Sol did the new torpedoes come in effect on board the USS Archer. A single torpedo was modified and fired against a cube. It was successful in damaging at least half of the enemy ship's system before the Borg were able to adapt. Research into this technology continues.
