The Federation Council is one of the governing bodies along with the senate of the United Federation of Planets. The Council has one elected representative from each of its members. They have the power to rule over any decision that will effect its members and citizens.

Councillors

Representatives from each member world (or race as this is the case with most officials since 2400) are elected to three year terms by their own people and powered to voice the general opinions and thoughts of those they speak for. Any law proposed can only be passed by a majority vote.
