Overview
Established in 2403, under the command of Marshall Castor Wolfram, Star Fleet's Star Fighter Command maintains 12 fighter squadrons as part of the Earth Defence Force. Most of these squadrons are actively engaged in defensive roles following the recent unrest caused by the Vulcan's split from the Federation.
Star Fighter Command has split the 12 Earth Defence Force Squadrons up in to 3 wings: Alpha Wing, Beta Wing and Charlie Wing. Each Wing performs a specific role within the fleet. Alpha Wing is tasked with long-term response to the Vulcan threat; Beta Wing is tasked with boarder defence and interdiction missions; and Charlie Wing is the fleets training wing.
