Niflheim or "Dark Cloud" (colloquially known as the "Crypt") was the base of operations for Cell Alpha during the early 25th century following the Federation Civil War.
Located within the The Field, Sol, Niflheim was a base seemingly built following the Borg War and the formation of the actual Field for reasons thus far are unknown. All that is known is that it was abandoned for several years before it was used as a home of sorts for the mercenary Raven, before finally being discovered by Victor Ross and Jo Harper in 2406 during the Battle of Sol following an encounter with an unknown patrol ship near the edge of the field.
Notes
- Niflheim was named after the "Mist World" of Norse Mythology, Niflheimr.
