The first 10 years
The only son of Bryan and Bettina Cash. The boy originally known as Bryan Angelus Davies was born during the most turbulent time in known galactic history. He was born in a small runabout fleeing from the planet Elura on August 14th, 2382. His birth like the rest of his life was hard and dangerous. His family moved from planet to planet system to system always trying to stay one step ahead of the Borg.
There luck and the runabout Wanderer eventually ran out and on a planet near Betazed the Borg invaded. The fighting was fierce and they were held off by elements of the fourth fleet for a few precious days.
Bryan's father discovered a ship sitting alone during those few days of fighting, it wasn't in very good shape but with a few tricks he knew it would fly again. That ship would eventually turn out to be one of the most important things in little Bryan's life. Somehow the ship got away undetected by the Borg and served as a home for the new family for close to four years. Always flying, never stopping anywhere for more than a few hours just long enough to get what was needed and move on. Bryan grew up on the small ship and enjoyed playing in it's many little nooks and hiding spots learning everything there was to know about the old ship.
He would even picked the name for it from a rhyme his mother used to sing with him when they would see a shooting star on one of the rare occasions they found themselves on a planet:
- "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonite. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight."
Little Bryan always wished they would find a safe place to call home.
It was a troubled time until Bryan's father eventually discovered a planet the borg would never even approach. The planet Omicron Theta.... devastated decades before by the Crystalline Entity it was totally devoid of life and anything useful. Bryan's father started the first settlement there. He built a small home for his family and started to attempt to farm.F or a time things were good and they were safe and prospered, but Bryan's father and his mother yearned to know what had become of everything so Bryan's father left aboard Starlight and find anyone he could out there and bring them back to Omicron Theta.
Life on Omicron Theta
After the first settlers had started to arrive life on Omicron Theta started to look up. Among the first people to settle on the planet were a multitude of experienced science and technological workers from various areas of the Federation. Crops were improved yields grew the population swelled with the new supply of food.Roads were constructed vehicles fashioned out of the parts available from the settlers' ships. Many advances were created but nothing that would attracted the gaze of the Borg. A school was started and Bryan being the first child on the planet made many friends.
He was happy and so were most people on the planet. Eventually enough people had gathered on the planet that the first city was planned. Many had wanted to name it after the man that had brought them all to Omicron Theta but being modest as he always was he suggested naming it after the oldest person currently on the planet.
