Charma Revran is the Chief Trauma Surgeon of the USS Exeter the Olympic Class medical ship serving in the Starfleet Re-Exploration Initiative. She is a young but talented surgeon, and has served with distinction in Starfleet for several years. This is her first shipboard posting since the end of the Borg War.

Personal Background

Prior To 2401

Charma was born on a Trill colony inhabited by members of a religious sect of Trills who like human Quakers, were devoted to pacifism. This pacifism extended to even rejecting those who would wear uniforms, since even that was seen as a warlike act. When one of the colony's members, Charma's aunt Kentra, left to join Starfleet shortly after being joined the group turned their back on her, and never spoke to her again.

The coming of the Borg did nothing to change their attitudes. Recently joined Charma argued that in order to survive the coming of the Borg the colonists would have to fight for their lives, or at least do their part to help Starfleet win. However her opinion was not heeded by the colony's elders and so they did nothing. Charma however followed in her aunt's footsteps and left the colony to enter Starfleet.

Still a pacifist at heart the young trill entered Starfleet Medical, and became a doctor, after graduating at the top of her class at Starfleet Academy. She focused on surgery and quickly became a valuble member of Starfleet's Trauma team. As a member of the USS Iowa she took part in the the Battle of Sol, the last ditch effort of Starfleet to protect Earth from a massive Borg fleet. The Iowa, under the commander of Commander T'Val, was destroyed but Charma Revran was one of the few survivors. She was picked up by the USS Grimson, and quickly taken to Earth where she joined up with a medical unit and worked for three days straight on the casualties of the battle.

After 2401

Following the end of the war Charma Revran taught Trauma Surgery at Starfleet Academy before requesting a shipboard assignment. She was placed on the USS Exeter, an Olympic Class vessel that serves as Starfleet's only active medical ship.
