Medical History

Physical Appearance: John is a somewhat slender man now.Having lost much of his former muscle and bulk to time and the rigors of his position.

John has a small scar under his right eye from a shrapnel wound during the dominion war.He also suffers from a slight arthritic condition that he has yet to have treated. Other then minor wounds from combat, Gen. Price remains in excellent condition for a man of his age. Starfleet Medical believes that he has many decades in front of him providing no undetected illnesses are discovered.

Service Details

Academy and Commissioning

Jonathan was not a particularly great student. He performed average in his studies, ranking slightly above the middle man in his class of 2300 Marine Students. He was commissioned on June 14th, 2348 as a Second Lieutenant in the Federation Marine Corps. He earned an undergraduate degree from the Federation Marine Academy at Quantico in Political Science.

USS Bellau Wood

Lieutenant Price

After his commissioning, Price was assigned as a platoon commander in the 3rd Marine Regiment. He took to the life of a Marine officer very well, building upon what knowlege his father introduced to him and developed his own leadership skills. He was involved in several insurgent and tactical operations during his tenure with the 3rd Marines. He developed his nickname, 'Lt. Cuisine' from having cooked for his men often when the platoon's mess chef's weren't 'up to par.' He eventually earned a reputation as a reliable and consistent officer with the 3rd Marines and earned the highest regard from his superiors.

Embassy Officer

After his promotion to Captain, it was time to allow Captain Price shore duty and he was thus assigned to the Embassy on Vulcan. His tenure on Vulcan was long due to manpower issues, and it is there where he met his future wife Telana Sela. After a short courtship, Price proposed to her and were married on December 5th, 2358. His evaluations were exemplary, though little action was seen on Vulcan. Eager to be redeployed, he requested transfer.

USS Concordia, MEU Commander

There was an Junior CO availability on board the USS Concordia, a Galaxy Class Starfleet Vessel with an attached 500 man Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Concordia saw multiple short engagements with pirates, rebels, and restless Klingon intruders during this period. Major Price, however, took this opportunity to further advance his career and complete the Bridge Officer's training course: an intense course that requires Marine Officers to qualify from the lowliest junior Ensign to Department Head. He also qualified Officer of the Deck during this period learning advanced starship tactics. This would prove important in the following years.

War College and the 3rd Marines

Shore duty once again was required and Price took the opportunity to request transfer to the Starfleet War College in Monterey, California- Earth. He promptly earned 3rd in his class and completed his studies in Advanced Infantry Studies. After his time at the college, he was transfered to be Executive Officer of the 3rd Marine Regiment.

USS Victory and the Dominion War

Commanding Officer, USS Victory

After a successful, but non eventful tour of duty with the 3rd Marines, Colonel Price was permitted to take command of the USS Victory, an Excalibur class Battleship. It was with this ship that he served with distniction in 15 minor battles and two major ones during the Dominion War. His battleship earned 3 Combat Star's and 5 Presidential Unit Citations. He was involved in the First Battle of Chintoka and the Battle of Cardassia earning over 22 confirmed kills. Although the Victory was out of the fight for over 6 months during the First Battle of Chintoka, he was able to get his ship out to the front lines and patrol for the duration of the war and escaped the final battle with minimal damage, leading Battle Squadron 22 in assault of Dominion Positions.

5th Marine Division Commanding Officer

After the Dominion War, Price was promoted to Brigaider General and reassigned to the 5th Marine Division out of Starbase 214. It was here that he directed early offensive actions in support of Allied movements during the Borg War, which started in 2382. General Price was responsibile for getting several brigades of Marines to the front lines and maintaing their supply in the face of a technologically superior enemy.

Marine SOC

In 2386, Starfleet Command had understood that the war could not be won with ships alone. They required special tactics that would severely damage or destroy a Borg ship with minimal Allied casualites. Although such a solution was never totally found, General Price was able to formulate several tactics and form highly trained Marine Units that would act as the 'tip of the spear' against the Borg threat. Such Marine units were commonly deployed with Matter-Anti Matter, Fusion, and even Nuclear weaponry as the situation deemed necessary. Bolstered by the Romulans, Klingons, and eventually the Jem Ha'dar, the Marines were able to cause catastrophic damage on localized Borg bases as well as provide a never ending stream of surprises on the ever advancing Borg Armada. Marines from Special Operations Command were deployed to every theatre of the war and saw action in every major campaign to the Battle of Sol. Under General Price's leadership, Federation overall combat effectiveness increased by 21 percent.

Final Years of the War

During the final years of the War, it was apparent that the Federation was losing. The entire 18 year war effort had been a prolonged battle of attrition, both sides paying dearly for every light year of territory taken. Proving himself competent with every continual assignment, even in his advanced age, was assigned the task of working with Starfleet Homeland Space Command to build Fortress Sol. Although understanding that it would be a suicide mission, Hundreds of Millions of Federation refugees volunteered for some sort of service, assisting both SHSC and MHC in building the defenses necessary to protect their home. It was through these two Commands that the Federation was able to fare as well as it did during the Battle of Sol. General Price worked with the Commandant of the Marine Corps himself, deploying Marine assets throughout the final campaigns in Alpha Centauri and Sol itself.

FMI and the Dissolusion of the Marine Corps

General Price testifying before Congress

After the Battle of Sol, it was apparent that General Price was the last remaining Marine Flag officer remaining above Brigadier General. With much of the Marine's leadership terminated, it was General Price who rallied together the remaining forces and reunited them with their families. Shortly after victory was declared, the Federation Congress determined that it could no longer fund the dual military branches of Starfleet and the Marines. Under Congressional Referendum 214, the Federation Marine Corps would be dissolved, with all starship assets allocated to Starfleet, all aerospace and auxiliary assets allocated to the newly formed Star Fighter Command, and all infantry assets allocated to the newly formed FMI. With his proven devotion to service, General Price accepted the position as Commanding Officer of the FMI and is now in charge of all infantry assets deployed by the Federation.
