Kate Galloway, call-sign 'Blitz', is presently the CAG for the USS Adventure, and Squadron Leader and Flight Instructor for SFS-XX - also known as 'Lost Squadron'. A veteran of the Borg War, she has served in some of the most celebrated fighter squadrons of the past quarter-century, and is arguably one of the finest pilots in Starfighter Command. Also an experienced flight instructor and test pilot, she has recently left service with the Angry Apes, the premier squadron of SFC, for a posting on the notorious USS Adventure, a move which has befuddled those who know her both personally and professionally.

Medical Details
Kate Galloway has, until recently, been in as good physical condition as can be expected for a military pilot. Even as she finds herself older than most of the pilots around her, she has pushed herself so as to be able to keep up, and with medical technology it was assumed she would not be held back by advancing years - when operating at the peak of human physical capacity - for a while longer.
Recently, however, her Valkyrie was shot down in hostile space, and Galloway was forced to go Extra-Vehicular. The explosion of her fighter saw her left leg perforated by shrapnel, and by the time she was retrieved, the doctors had no choice but to amputate it. She has spent the time since recuperating with an artificial replacement. Though the replacement allows her to act and move almost to her previous fullest capacity, the 'almost' is important. As someone accustomed to living at the edge of her physical capabilities, the replacement has reduced her piloting skills from 'superb' to merely 'excellent'.
Physical Appearance
Tall for a woman, but slender in build, Galloway's appearance is often somewhat scruffy and relaxed. Her red hair usually appears somewhat wild, her features usually creased with a smile but rarely touched up with makeup, and her clothing ever casual. Never breaking the boundaries of professionalism when in uniform, she does sometimes test them. It's not that she doesn't take care in her appearance - it's that she often finds better things to do with her time than groom herself. She regularly looks uncomfortable in a duty uniform, and has only ever been seen to appear perfectly at ease when in a flight suit, or when surrounded by fellow pilots.
