T’Poul is a Vulcan woman who currently resides as head of state on the Vulcan homeworld. She came to power after leading a coup to overthrow Chief Administrator Loval after he commited acts of treason, man-slaughter and went against Vulcan customs in 2403. She had Loval arressted and was placed as leader of the Vulcan High Command. She was forced to deal with Loval's action which included a possible civil war on Vulcan as well as war with the Federation. She request that Starfleet avoided Vuclan space until the situation on the homeworld was ressolved (DS1: "The Vulcan Connection").
