Karen Walker was the assistant chief strategic operations officer on the USS Enterprise (NX-1701-F) from 2400 to late 2402. She was short, had dark brown hair and had brown eyes. She born on 6th May 2364 which made her ten years older then her department head, Lieutenant Commander Michael Johnson but had only been in Starfleet for over two years. Before hand she had been a civilian specialist in tactical planning, but when the Enterprise had launched Michael had heard of her and how good she was with tactical planning. Captain Eden Enigma had asked Admiral Tom Paris to give Karen a commission so she can join Enterprise. The Admiral had agreed and Karen had joined Enterprise a few days later after the request. In early 2401 she commanded the Enterprise when Captain Enigma and several other senior crew members were on an away mission down to a planet which hosted a Vulcan science outpost to investigate and retrieve several important probes. (Ent-F:"A Fallen Angel").

She was known for having a wicked sense of humour but at the same time she was professional in her line of work. She wasn't bothered with the fact that her superior officer was younger then her. In 2401 she had a crush on her new commanding officer Captain Zack Marshall-Bennet (DS1: "The Best Is Yet To Come"). In late 2402 she returned to Earth and left Starfleet.
