NCC-74210
USS Valiant (NCC-74210) was the third vessel in service of Starfleet to be named Valiant and was the first Defiant Class Valiant. She was originally commanded by Captain Ramirez and assigned as a training ship to Starfleet Academy. It was a project to see how the elite Red Squad cadets would manage the operations of a ship out in the field. However the ship was attacked by the Cardassians in the opening days of the Dominion War. The primary Starfleet crew had been killed and the Red Squad Cadets took over. The ship was later destroyed and lost with all hands in 2374 by a new Dominion battleship due to the arrogant and pompous attitude of its Red Squad crew and mainly the Squad leader, acting Captain Tim Waters. Only three people survived the destruction of the Valiant including at that time Cadet Dorian Collins as well as Ensign Nog and Jake Sisko from Deep Space Nine. All three were rescued by Captain Benjamin Sisko and the crew of the USS Defiant.
NCC-75418
USS Valiant (NCC-75418)The fourth ship to carry the name Valiant, and was assigned to Starfleet Battle Group Omega in 2379 and deployed in sector 1045 near to the Romulan Star Empire border. The ship was assigned to assist the USS Enterprise-E against the Reman threat from Praetor Shinzon. The Valiant served as an escort to the damaged flagship after its battle inside the Bassen Rift. The vessel was under the command of Captain James Darren. It was later assigned to the Ninth Fleet and lost with all hands when it participated in the defence of the Raeya system in 2382 against the Borg.
NCC-74210-A
USS Valiant (NCC-74210-A) was the fifth ship and again was assigned to Starfleet Academy, however was a Nebula Class vessel. Many cadets who were assigned to it felt the vessel was cursed due to its name and registry, however the mission of the Valiant-A was to patrol the Inner Core Territory. As the Borg War heated up the cadets were taken off and a full experienced crew was assigned to the vessel under the command of Admiral Morgan Bateson. Contact with the Valiant was lost in 2396 after led a combined Starfleet-Klingon task force in attempt to find out what happened to Qo'noS.
NCC-74210-B
USS Valiant (NCC-74210-B) is the sixth and current ship named Valiant. It was launched from the Oakland Shipyards in 2401 under the command newly promoted Captain Dorian Collins and served in the First Fleet. The vessel escorted the USS Enterprise-F back to Earth in 2402 (DS1: "The Miracle Workers").
She has lately been assigned to be an attached vessel at Deep Space Five, under the command of Captain Edward Beckett.
