Lauren Novak

Lauren Novak is a Starfleet officer with the rank of lieutenant. She served as Chief Medical Officer on board Deep Space One and briefly on the USS Enterprise-F from 2401 to early 2403. Lauren was half Human and half Bajoran. She was proud of both of her heritages.

In 2401 she supported Captain Zack Marshall-Bennet when he challenged the Federation Council in regards to the possible misuse of a derelict Son’a Collector. She used the example of how after the end of the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor the Federation assisted the Bajorans to their best ability in re-building, similarly the Ba’ku were assisting the Federation in rebuilding too.

By 2403 Lauren was re-assigned as Chief Medical Officer to the USS Akira.

“Bajor lost everything but the Federation gave all it could to help the people of Bajor to rebuild. Exactly the same is happening now. The people of Ba’ku are helping the Federation re-build. They have already allowed for us to set up a colony and a Starbase in orbit of their planet. They are already devoting as much as they can to assist us but we are acting as if we have the right to take everything they have�
