Template:Civilian CharacterCharles Keaton is Human male and a noted physician who ended his active medical career shortly after his wife Shannon Keaton became Governor of Archer IV and took over the role of the First Gentlemen in the Governor’s Mansion. The two of them met through friends from university and were married in 2367. They’re relationship is close and when they originally met they both feel a spiritual connection due to the fact they were born four days apart (Charles’ birthday is January 18th, 2344). However they look back on this idea and laugh at how young and how much they were in love during their first few years of a young marriage. By 2404 he assumed the duties of governorship of Archer IV after his wife and her lieutenant governor were officially listed as missing in action during the Borg War by the Archer IV Government.

Charles Keaton met with Fleet Captain Zack Marshall-Bennet and Captain Samantha Reynolds in 2404 after their two ships arrived in the Archer System to determine the status of the colony (ENT-F: "A Good Day To Die").
