Samantha Reynolds is a Human woman and a Starfleet captain and commands the USS Achilles. She has commanded the ship for many years. Her ship was assigned to a task force sent to find out what happened to the Klingon Empire during the Borg War. Along with the rest of her crew she was rescued by the crew of the USS Enterprise-F in 2404 (ENT-F:"A Good Day To Defend").
The captain decided to aide Fleet Captain Zack Marshall-Bennet in his mission to the Verex system to find out more details regarding the current status of the Klingon Empire. During the mission she agreed to join him in wiping out the Orion Syndicate from the Verex system and the Borderland region for good(ENT-F:"A Good Day To Fight").
When they arrived in the Archer system she journeyed with Fleet Captain Bennet and met with Governor Charles Keaton. Both of them agreed to assist the colony and defend it against the approaching Klingon armada. During the battle the captain commanded several ships and successfully fought off the Klingons. The Achilles later returned to Earth where Samantha along with her crew were decorated for their actions and was assigned back to the Archer system to assist in rebuilding the system's interplanetary defence network.
