Federation Council

The Federation Council is governing body and senate of the United Federation of Planets. The Council has at least one elected representative from each of its members. The Council has the power to rule over any decision that will effect its members and citizens.

Council Representative

Representatives from each member world (or race as this is the case with most councillors by 2400) are elected in to three years terms by their own people and powered to voice the general opinions and thoughts of those they speak for.

However there are exceptions to the four founding members (Earth, Vulcan, Andoria and Tellar) of the Federation who shall always hold permanent status on the Council.
