Overview
The Starfighter Command consists of squadrons of starfighters and minor patrol boats and tends to assign its units to individual outposts, bases, and other such colonies for their prelimary and standard defence. On occasion, squadrons are assigned to Starfleet vessels as a means to supplement their combat capabilities, particularly for explorative and offensive duties.

Sol System Defence
Starfighter Command has split the twelve former Earth Defence Force Squadrons up in to 3 wings:
- Alpha Wing
- Beta Wing
- Charlie Wing.
Each Wing performs a specific role within the fleet:
- Alpha Wing is tasked with long-term response to the Vulcan threat;
- Beta Wing is tasked with boarder defence and interdiction missions;
- Charlie Wing is the system's training wing.
Recently Starfighter Command fielded the first starship squadron, designated SFCV-1, aboard the USS Enterprise (NX-1701-F).
