Keaton & Warne Presidential Campaign, 2405 is the current campaign being run by Shannon Keaton and Gerrard Warne the councillors for Earth and Alpha Centauri respectively, for the offices of Federation President and Vice President. Keaton is running for the presidency alongside Warne as her running mate. Keaton began her campaign after leading a mission to the Bajoran Commonwealth and feeling that the current government wasn’t doing enough for the Federation citizens. Warne joined the campaign after agreeing that the Federation required more action and less talk.

The campaign takes its stance on believing that the Federation, during its post-Borg War efforts should work on the majority helping each other out in rebuilding the whole. The campaign also works on the ideas that its time that the citizens of the Federation should feel safer on other Federation worlds besides those located in the Sol sector. The campaign has promised the electorate not to make rashness a standard decision-making practice in the Palais de la Concorde and to remove the autonomous role of the president created by the Spock administration during and after the war, with more of the Council’s backing on major political decisions.

Much media hyper over the Keaton & Warne campaign perceives the campaigners as weak and the next threat to approach the Federation would walk all over the Federation in an instant if Keaton becomes president. However Keaton and Warne both feel the current militancy standing of the presidency is too aggressive and is making more problems for the Federation, including the recent conflicts with the Vulcans and Klingons. This is a view that Keaton has heard from many citizens across the Federation. Their resolution is to reduce the level of assertiveness and hostility that the Starfleet is taking with defence, but to maintain an appropriate level of guarding of all member states without causing political and social problems for the Federation’s rebuilding efforts.
