Archer IV is a Class M planet in the Archer System. It is home to a thriving Federation colony which survived the Borg War. The planet's governor is Charles Keaton, the husband of the former governor, Shannon Keaton.
The Borg did attack and attempted to assimilate the planet; however thanks to the large defence network deployed on the planet the entire Borg armada was destroyed. In late 2404 the USS Achilles, the USS Enterprise both visited the planet to investigate rumours of a Klingon presence in the area. However the two Starfleet ships found the colony intact and thriving (ENT-F: "A Good Day To Die").
