My name is Albert. I had a twin brother named Alex. Alex had certain loves in his life. Not counting his son Alex Jr. His number two love was online role playing and one group in particular Futility's End. Alex came to be in charge of Futility's End almost by accident "A story best served to be told later." Suffice to say alex fell in love with this new Star Trek World presented to him. It wasn't a perfect world......some would say Futility's End at it's inception was nothing more the A Fanboy wank fest. Alex sought to change that. He didn't do it alone. Along the journey he met the one fellow that would have the biggest impact on his life since his own three brothers.

Dan Taylor provided alex with an insight to things that Alex himself had never even considered on his own. Together the two friends refined the FE concept of a terrible borg war devastated galaxy. Gone was the uber technology and famous population of Trek characters in every conceivable position. In the wake of the changes a new bolder more dedicated group emerged. Darker then normal Trek and dedicated to telling the story's of the people effected by over 20 years of war and devastation a tale of survival and sacrifice emerged.

Futility's End sailed along quite well until one faithful night in January of 2007. It was the night that FE's enigmatic leader Alex Chadwick my brother lost his life. Again another sad tale best told elsewhere. Alex died a hero and he left a breadcrumb trail of clues i would soon find that would at first entice me and then hook me on the world of Futility's End.
