NCC-1701-F
The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-F) was the second starship to leave the Sol System after the Borg War in 2400 (ENT-F:"The Winds Of Change"). She is an Century class starship and currently serves as the flagship of the Federation and is part of the Fourth Fleet.
The Enterprise-F was the first of her class and was the first Enterprise with the 1701 registry number to have a NX as part of her prefix. This has been changed to the more standard NCC prefix with the launch of USS Columbia in the year 2405. The vessel was the largest ship when she entered service and was built to assist with the defence and re-building phase for the Federation.
History
The vessel was launched from the San Francisco Shipyards on stardate 77502.811, 1st January 2400 under the command of Captain Eden Enigma (ENT-F:"The Winds Of Change"). The vessel participated with re-exploring the surrounding areas near to Earth from 2400-2401. In that time the vessel re-established contact with Alpha Centauri as well several important Federation members(ENT-F:"Return To The Stars ").
In 2402 the ship was dry-docked to recieve important upgrades that were left out when it was built. The vessel is also re-assigned as the support vessel to newly established station, Deep Space One under the command of Captain Zack Marshall-Bennet (DS1:"Back To The Final Frontier"). By the end of 2402 the vessel had participated in preventing the second re-location of the Ba'ku (DS1:"Just In Time"). As well the ship re-established contact with the Bajorans , Ferengi, Cardassians and Yridians (DS1:"The Best Is Yet To Come").
In 2403 the ship travelled to Vulcan where it attempted to locate important scientists to assist with re-forming Project Harmony(DS1:"The Miracle Workers"). A few days after being in orbit of Vulcan the ship was attacked by the Vulcan Defence Fleet and captured (DS1:"The Vulcan Connection"). The Vulcan High Command later had the vessel released as many of the Vulcan public began to question its policies. The vessel was docked at Andoria for a short amount of time to recieve repairs after the incident at Vulcan (DS1:"Along The Stream"). The ship soon departed and headed out to find the rest of the Project Harmony members. The ship succeeded in finding the group and returned to Earth in the middle of 2403.
In July 2406 Enterprise returned to Sol following the events of the Second Battle for Sol, Captain Bennett found he had lost his taste for life in the stars with his decision to leave Enterprise Starfleet ordered its return to Sol and began re-assigning its crew to other ships within the Federation. At the present time USS Enterprise-F is docked in S2 awaiting Fleet Admiral Taylor's decision on her future.
